Why You Don’t Need A Morning Routine To Manifest
5am starts, green juice and meditation isn’t for everyone. Try this instead.
Everyone on the internet is telling you how to live your life.
Drink this.
Eat that.
Do this one thing and all your problems will be solved, blah blah, blah.
Optimise, optimise, optimise!
The ‘Morning Routine’ has been pedestalled as a cornerstone for success—if you don’t have one…well, you may as well just crawl into a hole and die.
But what if getting up at 4:30am to meditate or workout just isn’t feasible?
Recently I was lurking (aka mining for content ideas) in a manifestation group on Facebook and I kept coming upon the same problems regarding the ‘morning routine’:
“I work shifts with no pattern”
“I’m not a morning person”
“I feel like all the law of attraction tools and self help books are for people working Monday to Friday, 9 to 5.”
So let’s address the elephant in the room shall we?
“Win the morning, win the day”
Tim Ferris’s quote makes me gag ever so slightly. I get the premise, but I like to ease into my day. I do not like to be rushed. And if you’re working late, juggling a weird shift pattern, raising kids, or just not a morning person, it’s easy to feel like you’re failing before the day’s even begun.
And when it comes to manifesting it can make you feel like you’re doing it all wrong.
But here’s the truth:
You don’t need a morning routine to manifest.
Maybe your job has you working nights. Maybe you’ve got school runs and chaos before 9am. Maybe your nervous system is fried and the last thing you want to do is force yourself out of bed for breathwork and an intention-setting ritual.
Or, maybe you just really, really like sleep. There’s no shame in that.
So when you hear that you need to “start your day with high vibes,” but your mornings are basically just a blur of coffee, screaming kids, and trying to find a clean sock… it feels like you’re missing a crucial piece of the manifesting puzzle.
That leaves you thinking:
“How can I be high vibe if I’m always rushing?”
“Am I doing it wrong because I don’t meditate first thing?”
“What if I don’t have a set routine at all?”
Here’s the thing: you’re not doing it wrong. You ‘re just trying to follow someone else’s lifestyle.
Don’t force it
A lot of manifestation advice comes from people with flexible schedules, a team of employees, disposable time and income, and a pretty Pinterest-perfect life.
But what about us normies?
If you’re neurodivergent, emotionally sensitive, burnt out, or living anything but a cookie-cutter 9-5, those rituals can actually make you feel more disconnected—not less.
You start to believe you need to "fix" yourself in order to manifest. You put pressure on yourself to get into a high vibe state when your nervous system is shot to shit, your calendar’s full, and you’re living by the seat of your pants.
That’s not just unhelpful. It’s the opposite of what manifestation should be about.
Your energy is key to manifesting your Ideal Reality. So if you’re forcing yourself to do things that don’t fit with your life or that you don’t really want to do it’s never gonna work.
But there’s a way to bypass all that: tune into the frequency of colour.
Shades for success
Colour is the shortcut no one’s talking about.
It doesn’t require time, effort, or motivation. It doesn’t care what your schedule looks like or whether you’ve meditated today.
Why? Because colour speaks directly to your subconscious mind—the part of you that’s actually driving your reality.

Regulate your emotions
Shift your frequency
Calm your nervous system
Ignite motivation or focus
Clear stuck energy
Align with the version of you who has what you desire

This is such a breath of fresh air, Kerry. Embarrassingly, I’ve tried a lot of those “optimise your life” tricks, ginger and turmeric shots, running before 5am, even starting work before 5 to be extra productive.
